Piper's new house

Well, it has been a while since we did a blog post, but we have been working hard for the last couple of months on getting a house! We finally picked a new home in the last couple of weeks and we put an offer in and it was accepted! So we closed on the house on December 23rd (mommy says that this shall now be celebrated as new home day from here on out)! We have spent the last couple of days in the new place. We still have a little bit of time before we can stay their permanently but we are super excited!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today, Daddy, Mommy and I went to the pumpkin patch at Young's Dairy Farm in Yellow Springs. We had SO much fun. When we got there we played in a big play area that had a sandbox filled with corn pieces, a slide and some really cool ride on toys. Then we went on a hay ride and got to pick out our pumpkin! We got a really BIG one! I was so excited! And then we had lunch, a really nice little boy sat behind me and I wanted to play with him, but mommy and daddy wanted me to eat :/ After that we walked around the property and saw lots of things that I can do next year! I can't wait to go back!

After Young's we came back down close to home and went to a festival at Keehner Park, it was really nice, but a really far walk from the car. So we saw goats, a donkey, a baby horse, ducks and a llama (mommy even petted it, it scared me though!) Then we went and looked at the police cars and the ambulances. Next time we go back I get to get finger printed and get to get an ID. Then we played at the park.

I fell asleep on the way home, so mommy had to run into the store by herself and get dinner. But then we got home and I finished my nap, then mommy, daddy and I started carving our pumpkin and had some yummy dinner!

Saturday we picked Daddy up from the airport. He was gone for a long long time I was excited to get to see him!




After we got daddy, we went and had dinner at the Cheesecake factory, I didn't get any cheesecake :( someone was being a grumpy baby...I don't know who that could be!

We went home and played with all of the toys daddy brought me from the conference. It was fun! And then it was bedtime.

Sunday we went to Jungle Jims and to a place called Whole foods looking for some cheese for mommy. Didn't find it :( but we got some other yummy stuff! That night at bath time we decided that I would try to use the potty before I got in my bath, I sat down and went! Then the potty started singing for me, it was SO neat!

Monday we had to pick up daddy's car after it got a check-up, and we just hung out at home, I managed to use the potty 4 more times!

I am so excited to have my daddy home!!

A week with Mommy

So mommy and I have been alone all week (we pick up Daddy today!!) so we have spent the week having some fun. We started our week having a PJ party with our good friends Sophia and Madalyn (and their mommies too Erica and Sara), then we went had breakfast with them on Sunday and then went shopping at Buy Buy Baby (mommy claims she spent WAY too much money)! Then we spent the rest of the week going to the park and playing with my new toys! Oh and we got Ice Cream! YUM! We missed Daddy lots and are super glad he is coming home today!

August

August has been a fun and crazy month so far, I got to meet baby Sebastian on the 6th, it was so neat, mommy held him really low so I could get a good look at him and I got to play with all of his toys (Sorry Mike and Nicole for the mess I left!). We got to go for a walk too and mommy and Nicole let me push Sebastian's stroller...so cool!

Jeff, Kerry and Jeffrey came and visited the next weekend and we had yummy food from the barbecue, went out for Ice Cream, went to Ikea and then went out to lunch! It was SO much fun. Mommy took that Friday off of work and we went to Daddy's work for lunch and we got to see the Budweiser Clydesdales. Oh and some really nice people gave me a cupcake! I love cupcakes!

Last weekend, mommy, daddy and I went to a park in Dayton and had a picnic and then walked around the pond and saw the ducks. It was SO nice. And Sunday we went to the Big Bugs Exhibit, it was SO neat, until it started raining. After we left, it stopped raining and we saw a sign for a Dam, so we decided to go and check it out. It was really neat and Daddy says we will go there when the Zombie Apocalypse happens....silly daddy.

Then, My leap pad came, this is the most awesome toy ever! I love playing with it and it keeps me occupied for car trips and such!

So this week, I had to get a couple of test done to check my kidneys and my bladder, so far everything is ok, but I will have to go back in soon to get some more tests just to make sure that the infection I had is gone and all is well.

Tomorrow, Daddy goes on a big trip to Vegas to learn some stuff for work, so Mommy and I are home alone for a week! We are going to start the week out right with a big pajama party with our good friends Sophia and Madalyn (and their mom's too!). I can't wait. Mommy just says that she hopes I start sleeping through the night again soon.

Wow....Summer

We have been super busy since summer began, well since July began and mommy won't let me take the time to update my blog!

So we went and visited Grandma and Grandpa in the beginning of July, I had a great time playing with Uncle Robert and Aunt Megan while mommy and daddy got their first night out since I was born!

Then we played around for a week, we went to the Museum Center with our neighbors, Angela, Gavin and Lisa! We had a great time! We went to the Aquarium and then the Columbus zoo! It was a busy week and at the end of it we went to a fun little park called Sharon Woods! We climbed in the Waterfalls!!

Then we all went back to our normal routine for a week and then we went to the Indianapolis Zoo to meet up with some of our friends from the birthboard that mommy belonged too (it was April cause that is when she was due with me).

Then we did our normal routine for again, except this week, mommy worked a lot! I missed her very much! And then I got sick, I was so tired and cranky and my mean Molar teeth are starting to come in! It was a VERY rough week for everyone in the house!

Then that weekend, we got our pictures done!! Mommy had won a photography session from the picnic we went to for her local mommies group. Kim Melendy Photography took the pictures of us (http://kmelendyphoto.com/) They turned out fabulous (even though I didn't feel good at all during them)! Mommy told me that we are going to get more done this fall/winter! Here is a sample of them!
So that has been life around here! We are looking forward to a quiet August and can't wait to meet baby Sebastian (and to see Mike, Nicole and Grayson) , see Jeffrey (and Kerry and Jeff too!). The only thing we aren't looking forward to is the last week, Daddy has to go on his first business trip (Vegas) so Mommy and I will be having a girlie week!

Narcissus

Narcissus or Narkissos (Greek: Νάρκισσος), possibly derived from ναρκη (narke) meaning "sleep, numbness," in Greek mythology was a hunter from the territory of Thespiae in Boeotia who was renowned for his beauty. He was exceptionally proud, in that he disdained those who loved him. Nemesis saw this and attracted Narcissus to a pool where he saw his own reflection in the waters and fell in love with it, not realizing it was merely an image. Unable to leave the beauty of his reflection, Narcissus died.



No Pipers were hurt or injured in the making of this video, however mommy's mirror may never be the same.

Daddy is funny

Daddy is funny today, yesterday when he had me in the grass he was not so funny. Last night mommy and daddy took me to the park and decided to put me in the grass (even though they KNOW I hate it) and Daddy thought he would roll around and make me laugh. Well, it didn't work. So tonight, daddy wanted to show mommy that it did normally make me laugh and here is the video:



It only makes me laugh as long as I am not in the yukky grass!!

Piper's long walk

I have been walking lots and lots and lots lately, I get better everyday! A couple weeks ago, i got daddy his father's day gift an Ipad 2. So I let him play with it early (cause I am an awesome daughter), and he decided to record (then he gave it to mommy) me with his new Ipad.

Oh the places we've been

It has been a long time since I posted because mommy and daddy have been keeping me super busy! We have spent lots of time with friends, gotten to see some family, had a birthday party for our friend Kirsin, went to the taste of Cincinnati and the Indianapolis Zoo! I got to stay at a hotel for the first time! I was scared, it was weird to try to sleep away from home in the same room as mommy and daddy (next time mommy is getting a 2 room suite!) Daddy has taken lots of videos lately and I will upload those later, but for now, I will leave you with this slide show of everything we have done!

Piper is 1!!

I turned 1 year old on Thursday, May 5th! It was an exciting day, mommy and daddy both took off work and took me to the zoo. I got to see all kinds of animals and I got to have some yummy ice cream!! We had lots of fun! After the zoo we took mommy to the dentist to get her teeth cleaned and to have them count mine. Then we came home and had some spaghetti for dinner and they let me eat some cake!

Friday, we hung out at home for most of the day (a side from a few errands we had to run for the big day) and mommy baked my birthday cake and decorated it.

Saturday morning, I had swimming lessons with Daddy and then Grandma, Aunt Robin, Aunt Megan and Uncle Robert showed up! After I woke up from my nap we played and played and played until the party guests got there! We had a full house that day, it was crazy but fun. We ate cake and opened presents and ate off of the baby buffet! After all of the guests left, we ate some dinner and finally wore down and went to bed. (Thanks Uncle Anthony for putting my bug together!)

Sunday, Daddy put together all of my birthday presents and I helped! And we basically were lazy all day Sunday just hanging out at home and celebrating mother's day. We went to breakfast with Uncle Anthony, Aunt Erica and Sophia to celebrate mother's day.

Monday, Daddy and I hung out all day! We went down and visited mommy at work and had lunch!

Thank goodness, I am getting back into my normal schedule, all of this time off has been fun, but I missed seeing Nana and the boys at daycare!

1 year dr appointment and swim classes

Today was my one year doctors appointment. The Doctor said I was progressing really well except I needed to stop drinking from my bottle at night :(. They gave me one shot and took some blood for a CBC and lead check. The CBC came back completely normal and we will hear about the lead check in about a week. My head was 18 1/4 inches (80%) , my height was 30 3/4 (95%) and my weight was 22.3 (70%).

After going to the Dr, I had my first swimming lesson at the YMCA. Mommy took the class with me and Daddy took some pictures, and next week they will switch off. I was a little scared at first, going into the pool, but as I was watching the other kids have fun, I relaxed a little and joined in. We sang "The wheels on the bus" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and Played "Humpty Dumpty" and I got to fall off the wall!

First Steps

Well not technically the first ones cause daddy wasn't too quick with the camera. This was my third or fourth try at walking the first 2 times I almost did 4 consecutive steps!



Special thanks to my friend Ben for leaving the neat orange thing that helped me walk! (Mommy and Daddy will buy you a new one since I drooled all over this one!)

Easter!

So Mommy and Daddy had me come out to the living room this morning after a long sleep and guess what I found!!



Then mommy made Bunny pancakes and we all had a yummy breakfast!

11 months/Easter

Mommy and Daddy woke me up from my nap on Saturday and got me all dressed up pretty! We took lots (I do mean lots like 3000000000000000 billion!) pictures and I got to play with a Sucker!! YAY!!

Coloring on the chalk board

So mommy and daddy were getting the groceries in and I was playing in my room with my chalk board. Mommy and Daddy walked in while I was playing and threw a big fit because I was standing with chalk in my hands thinking about what I wanted to color. They were SO excited that they wanted to capture it on video but I had already falling down, so they videoed until I actually did it again:

We found an AWESOME park so close to home! Mommy and Daddy didn't want to leave, but I was the responsible one and told them we had to go home, but we would come back another day.

New washer

Mommy and Daddy had to get a new washer (because Daddy broke the old one). So we headed out shopping and they picked out a new one! Now they think since I can reach this one, I should start doing the laundry too. Look at how mean they are, making cute little me work:

Ihop and the Newport Aquarium

Today Mommy, Daddy and I went with our friends Mike and Nicole to a Mother's Exchange sale and bought me some new clothes and then we all went to Ihop for breakfast! It was yummy! After my nap mommy and daddy took me to the aquarium and we had a blast!! I can't wait to go back!
